What the appointment involves: Iron infusions in Halifax
What people ask us first
- How much does a private iron infusion cost, and what is in the price?
- Do I choose the single or double dose, or does someone decide for me?
- Is the consultation, or a look at my blood results, charged on top?
- Can I claim it on health insurance?
What happens at your appointment
-
Book a free consultation and gather your blood results
2 minutes online
Book the free consultation in the online diary, in person or by video, and have your most recent blood results to hand, from your GP or a private test.
-
Consultation
You are asked about your health, medicines and allergies, and your blood results are reviewed. Subhan, the clinic's pharmacist independent prescriber, decides whether an infusion is suitable, and which dose. If it is not suitable, no infusion is given.
-
The infusion
A thin, soft tube called a cannula is placed in a vein in your arm and the infusion runs slowly while you sit in a chair.
-
Line out and aftercare
1 hour in total
The cannula comes out, a small dressing goes on and you are given aftercare advice before you leave.
What to expect
- You know both prices before you book, as shown in the online diary.
- You know who decided which dose, if any, was suitable for you, and why.
- No infusion was given without that decision being made first.

Why the price depends on a consultation
Iron for infusion is a prescription-only medicine in the UK, so an infusion can only be given if a registered prescriber decides it is suitable for you. The clinic sells the appointment, not the medicine: the consultation, the time, and a registered clinician looking after you. This page does not claim what an infusion will do for you.
Iron infusions are prescribed by Mohammad Subhan Anwar Khan, a pharmacist independent prescriber (GPhC 2078837) and co-director. A trained member of the clinic team gives the infusion under Subhan’s clinical oversight. The consultation is free, in person or by video.
What the price includes
Both prices cover a one hour appointment at 4 Hopwood Lane: the health questions and a review of your blood results, placing the line, the infusion itself, taking the line out and aftercare advice. Revitalise Clinic is owned and run by Adil Mahmood, a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC 2076427).
Deposits and cancelling
Most treatments take a £25 deposit when you book. If you need to cancel or move, give at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund. If you are not sure whether your blood results are recent enough, ask at your free consultation.

Common questions
How much does an iron infusion cost?
An iron infusion at Revitalise Clinic, 4 Hopwood Lane, Halifax, costs £120 for a single dose appointment or £200 for a double dose, as shown in the online diary. Each is booked as one hour. Which one is suitable, if either, is decided at the free consultation from your blood results and your health.
How much does a private iron infusion cost in the UK?
Private clinics set their own prices, so this page can only tell you what Revitalise Clinic charges: £120 for a single dose appointment and £200 for a double dose. Before you compare, check what each price includes, such as the consultation and a review of your blood results.
Do I choose the single or the double dose?
You do not choose the dose by price. Which dose is suitable, if either, is decided at the free consultation by the clinic's pharmacist independent prescriber, based on your blood results, your health and any medicines you take. You are told which one and why before anything is given.
Is the consultation included in the price?
The consultation before an iron infusion is free, in person or by video. Your health questions and a review of your blood results happen there. The clinic does not take blood tests at the moment, so bring your own recent results from your GP or a private test.
Can I use health insurance to pay for an iron infusion?
Revitalise Clinic is a private, self-pay clinic and does not bill health insurers. You pay the clinic directly at the price shown in the online diary.
Can I get an iron infusion on the NHS instead?
Iron infusions on the NHS are arranged by your GP or hospital team if they decide you need one, and waiting times vary by area. Revitalise Clinic is private, so the appointment is booked in the online diary and paid for by you.
How long is the appointment for the price?
Both the single and double dose appointments are booked as one hour. That covers the health questions on the day, placing the line, the infusion and taking the line out. Plan for the full hour so you are not rushing.
