What people ask us first

  • What is actually in each drip, and how is it different from the others?
  • How long will I be sitting there, and can I bring something to read?
  • Who puts the line in, and what happens if I do not like needles?
  • What does it cost, and is the price the same on the day?

What happens at your appointment

  1. Pick your drip and a time

    2 minutes online

Choose a drip and a time in the online diary. You do not need a consultation first, but if you are not sure which drip to choose, a free 30 minute consultation, in person or by video, is in the diary too.

  2. Health questions

    About 10 minutes

Your practitioner asks about your health, any medicines you take and any allergies. Whether a drip is suitable today is decided with you. If it is not, no drip is given.

  3. The line goes in

You settle into a chair. The skin on your arm is cleaned and a thin, soft tube called a cannula is placed in a vein, usually on the inside of the elbow or the forearm, then taped down.

  4. The drip runs

Up to an hour, depending on the drip

The bag is connected and the drip runs slowly. You can read, scroll your phone or just rest, and you are checked on as it goes.

  5. Line out and home

When the bag is empty, the cannula comes out, gentle pressure is put on the spot and a small dressing goes on. You can go straight home or back to work.

What to expect

  • You know which drip you had, what was in it and the dose, before you leave.
  • You were seated in a chair for the hour and could ask questions at any point.
  • The line is out, a small dressing is on, and you know how to look after the spot.
  • You paid the price shown in the online diary, with nothing added on the day.

Prices and booking

The five drips, and what is in them

Each drip is a one hour appointment, booked on its own in the online diary. Here is what each one is. The clinic does not claim what a drip will do for your body, and the team will not either. What your practitioner will do is tell you exactly what is going in, and decide with you whether it suits you. If you would like the full ingredient list for a drip, ask at your appointment.

Vitamin C drip

Vitamin C in a bag of fluid, in three strengths: 10,000mg (£99), 30,000mg (£129) or 50,000mg (£159). The dose is the only difference between the three.

Multi-Vit drip

A mix of vitamins in one bag. £125.

Glow Me Up (Skin and Hair) drip

The same name as in the online diary. A mix of vitamins and other ingredients, given in the same way as the others. £175.

Antioxidant Drip

Vitamin C and glutathione with vitamins B1, B2, B3, B5 and B6, in one bag. £175.

The Wellness Drip

A mix of vitamins, minerals and amino acids in one bag. £199.

Every drip is listed with its own book button under prices and booking below, and the IV drip cost page sets out each price in full.

Who is with you during the drip

Revitalise Clinic is owned and run by Adil Mahmood, a pharmacist registered with the General Pharmaceutical Council (GPhC 2076427). Drips are given by the clinic team. Mohammad Subhan Anwar Khan, a pharmacist independent prescriber (GPhC 2078837) and co-director, has clinical oversight. Sophia Shah, who has 16 years’ experience in healthcare, gives treatments under Subhan’s oversight. You can check both pharmacists on the GPhC register, and the team is happy to answer questions before, during and after.

Planning your visit

Wear a top with sleeves that roll up past the elbow. Bring a book or headphones if you like. If you have had a drip or injection somewhere else recently, mention it during the health questions. Any advice on eating, drinking or medicines before your drip, and who should not have one, is covered at your appointment before anything is given.

Most treatments take a £25 deposit when you book. If you need to cancel or move, give at least 24 hours’ notice for a full refund. Treatments are for adults 18 and over.

If you want the full picture before you book, read what happens at an IV drip appointment, step by step.

Shorter options

If an hour is more than you want, the clinic also offers vitamin injections that take about 15 minutes, including vitamin D, B-complex, biotin and glutathione. You can see the full list of treatments or go straight to the booking page for every treatment.

Common questions

Where can I get an IV drip near me in Halifax?

Revitalise Clinic runs IV drips at 4 Hopwood Lane, Halifax, HX1 5HW. The clinic team carries out the drips under the clinical oversight of a pharmacist independent prescriber. Each drip is booked as a one hour appointment in the online diary, or you can call 01422 525503.

What is an IV drip treatment?

An IV drip treatment is a bag of fluid with vitamins added, given slowly into a vein through a thin tube in your arm. IV is short for intravenous, which means into a vein. At the clinic you stay seated for up to an hour while the bag empties, then the tube comes out.

How long does an IV drip take?

An IV drip appointment at the clinic is booked as one hour. That covers the health questions, placing the line, the drip itself and taking the line out. The drip part is usually the longest step. Plan for the full hour so you are not rushing.

How much does an IV drip cost?

Prices in the online diary are £99, £129 or £159 for vitamin C, depending on the dose, £125 for the Multi-Vit drip, £175 for the Glow Me Up (Skin and Hair) drip, £175 for the Antioxidant Drip and £199 for The Wellness Drip. The price covers the health questions, the drip and the hour in the chair.

Can you get an infection or sepsis from an IV drip?

An IV drip does involve a line in a vein, so infection is a known side effect of any cannula. To keep that chance low, the skin is cleaned first, the cannula and line come sealed and are used once, and your practitioner checks the spot before you leave. Ask anything about this at your appointment.

What should I not do after an IV drip?

After an IV drip, your practitioner gives you aftercare advice before you leave, including how long to keep the small dressing on. If the spot where the line went in becomes red, hot or swollen afterwards, contact the clinic on 01422 525503 so it can be checked.

Does having an IV drip hurt?

Having an IV drip starts with a sharp scratch as the cannula goes in, a bit like having blood taken. Once it is taped down, most of the hour is just sitting still. If you are nervous about needles, say so when you arrive and your practitioner will take it at your pace.

Do I need a consultation before an IV drip?

Every drip appointment starts with health questions, so you do not need to book a separate consultation. If you want to talk it through first, a free 30 minute consultation, in person or by video, is in the online diary.
